About

Abby Asmuth is a producer, director, and writer drawn to the intersection of creativity and execution. She is interested in how strong leadership and management shape great storytelling, combining a passion for creative development with the executive and strategic skills that allow stories to be produced effectively and reach the audiences they’re meant for.

A graduating senior at Yale University, Abby has studied English with a Screenwriting Concentration, writing three television pilots and writing and producing multiple shorts. She devoted much of her time to running Yale Artists Cabaret, one of Yale's premier performing arts groups, and directing the Yale Student Film Festival, the largest film event on campus.

Last summer, Abby worked as the Office of the President Intern at Sony Pictures Television (SPT), directly supporting SPT's President Katherine Pope and Head of Creative Lauren Stein. This experience gave her an in-depth understanding of the studio system, while preparing her with the necessary administrative and organizational skills to manage a desk. The summer prior, she interned at Red Wagon Entertainment, writing coverage and researching market trends for producers Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher.

When not organizing her latest project, Abby enjoys skiing and reading fiction.
